My name is Nateli, I am thirteen-years-old and I have always cared a lot about the Environment. I've grown up along Washington's Coast and I've always just adored the natural landscape. I feel the most like myself when I'm breathing in fresh air, and I have twigs in my hair. So, I'd say, my passion started with my love for the earth and being outside. I've always been very curious about the Natural world.
In about third grade, I started to care more about the environment. At first it was just discovering how the ecosystems work together, and learning how to identify different native plant and animal species. My curiosity grew into a passion for the planet when I learned about plastic, air, water pollution, and endangered species. Later that spring, I started to lead my first Environmental Club.
Since then, I have published books about conservation, started and lead two different Environmental Clubs (One in Elementary school, and one in Middle School), become an orca steward, and a creek restoration steward. I have attended classes about conservation and have done restoration work with my club and on my own.
Now, I am writing my next novel, doing more restoration work, doing more Salish Sea and orca conservation, continuing my Environmental Club, and starting my own "Green Business."
With my blog, I hope to inspire more people to have a passion about the earth. I hope you all realize the impact we all have, and choose to make that impact positive!
